Tips, Talk & Tidbits from Platinum Properties of Pasco, LLC.

What a great weekend for the kids who are part of Pasco Dixie Youth League Baseball!  Over 300 kids and their families came out to the park Saturday in San Antonio to celebrate the beginning of baseball season.

Smiles were on most faces despite the weather which was a bit chilly and rainy.  The concession stand had long lines of mostly patient people waiting for their first gatoraide and hotdog of the season.  A talented little girl sang the National Anthem after the players and coaches lined up on the field.  A plaque was presented to the widow of coach Jeff Plourde who passed away suddenly last fall.  The raffle winners were annouced...prizes included a bike and gift certificates to Big Cats, Bonefish and Panchos.  The opening pitch was thrown and the games began!

Baseball in San Antonio is a long standing tradition.  Some of the parents who are involved today were once players in this very league over 25 years ago (some maybe longer than that--shhhh).  These former players remain active in the league as coaches, volunteers and fans.  It is their passion for this community that makes P.D.Y.L. such a success!

The game schedules and other league information are posted on www.SanAnnBaseball.com. Play ball!
