    Photo challenge for the month of May

    We believe that the meet-up group should be both fun and educational. As photographers we all need to continue add new skills and enhance our existing skills. Toward that goal, starting in May, we will have a monthly challenge fashioned to enhance an existing skill or learn a new skill. The May challenge will be to use panning to capture photos. Panning for those who may not know is a way to track a moving object with the camera so the the object remains in focus while background is blurred. For those of us not familiar with the technique please reference site http://digital-photography-school.com/mastering-panning-to-photograph-moving-subjects A gallery will be setup where you can place your photos to be critiqued by the group. This challenge will be due by May 31, 2013.     This event is becoming a tradition now at the Wiregrass Mall. Come and let's shoot the cars and trucks on display at the mall. If you have ever wanted to take shots of all kinds of classic or modern cars, this is it!  The photos below were taken at last year's show. We will meet by the water fountain in front of Macys. I suggest you try to park in the Macys parking garage for a better chance of finding a quick spot since this event attracts lots of folks.
